Not suitable for the washing machine,

One of the best dog beds we've tried. The 32inch size is perfect for our small Springer Spaniel. Rigid sides so she can rest her chin and look over while laying down. Inner cushion removes, but the base lining is a man-made material, quite thin, that the dog hairs cling too, so it can't be shaken out but needs a vacuum. The fabric is like a waterproof coat, so resists stains and water. The main bed can be rubbed with a sponge and little laundry cleaner/rinsed with a sponge, but would not fit into a domestic washing machine. As the fabric is waterproof backed, when I washed the cushion in the washing machine, the stuffing stayed wet due the water getting inside via the seams and then not getting dried out on the washing line or in the airing cupboard. I had to unpick an edge seam, take out the bits of padding (like the inside of a pillow) and tumble dry the bits inside a tied up pillow case on low heat. The inside of the cushion was soaking wet, so this had to be towel dried and hung on an airer. Once eventually dried, I then sewed in a zip , for next time, so that I can take out the stuffing before washing the cushion! Usual poor design for dog beds, hence the 3 star rating.

I bought this bed for my husky/german shepherd puppy when she was 8 weeks old. The day it arrived she jumped right in it and clearly loved it from the start. Most of the bed is made from water resistant material that can be wiped clean, however after one of my cats decided to urinate on it a few weeks after getting it I did have to put the whole thing into the washing machine (I had no issues fitting both parts into a normal sized washing machine). Because of the water resistant materials it did take a while for the stuffing to dry.
As stated before the floor lining of the bed is made of a very clingy material and getting hair off is a nightmare, I've given up trying! Another bonus to the materials used in this bed is that it tends to remain cool. Because my dog is part husky she does tend to get hot very easily and this bed helps keep her cooler than other beds would.

She's a 6 month labroador who has eaten well. This size sleeper is perfect for her. As long as she doesnt chew it, she will definitely be able to use this for years to come. Havent yet washed it, but it looks fine to go into the w/machine.
