Enchanted, powerful, throbbing noise 28 Jan. 2007
By Geoffrey R. Balme - Published on
With little lyrical distraction, and a Calla / Sonic Youth -like, atmospheric, instrumental bent, the Telescopes leave behind their often shoegaze stylings reminiscent of early My Bloody Valentine, and give us some ambient, often bass driven, band noise. These could be Sonic Youth extended endings outtakes. All in all, a moody soundtrack, perhaps good for some Chris Hinton style animation.
