Product Description
THREE (3) Professional Studio Strobe Lights: 300DI, with their own 75-watt modeling lights. This strobe is typically used for background, fill, or highlighting.
300DI is equipped with buzz function. The modeling lamp can be adjusted from full to proportion. With pre-flash system, it can fire on the second flash in sync.
High quality barn door with honeycomb 4 Color Gels (Translucent, blue, red, yellow) Four (4) color gels to allow you to have different background colors. . One (1) Honeycomb designed to give you ultimate control on the direction of your light.
Soft box: A soft box is an essential piece of kit for the photographic studio utilizing continuous or flash lighting, creating even, natural, diffused light distribution and eliminating extreme highlights and hotspots.
Black/Silver Umbrella: This is an Interfit 33" (84 cm), Sliver/Black Backing Umbrella. Silver umbrellas are used to bounce light onto a subject.
A wireless radio 16-channel trigger set comes in the package.

This kit has enough power to make the perfect bright white background for those family portraits and modeling sessions. Plus you can turn them down and have a faster refresh time when the lower powered kits would be on full power with a longer refresh time. And they can also be turned down low to have that intimate feel to so modeling situations. Can be used on their own, as a pair, a trio or you can buy extra ones if 3 isn't already enough. I feel 3 is plenty for most situations.
The build quality for the price is awesome. The soft boxes are a bit of a fiddle to put up at 1st but you get used to them very quickly.
The stands are light weight, and if I was to really be picky, I would of hoped for the stands to be a little bigger. But again, they work very well.
It all packs down into the bag very well, and you can keep the strobe heads in the cardboard boxes to protect the bulbs.
There are lots of attachments included that are great, and you can add other things like a snoot to this kit very easy. These things are easy to find so don't worry about having to buy Bowens or Interfit to be able to buy add-ons. I did buy an extra shoot through white umbrella to flood fill the white background from each side. I would recomend that if you like that perfect white background look.
This kit will serve most levels very well...... (unless you are rich pro that wants extra control)
Everything went together well, flashes work in master and slave mode quite well. With the trigger on my D90 I can use a sync speed of 1/160 of a second. I use 1/125 just to be on the safe side. Everything in the kit is pretty intuitive and no instructions are really needed. Where would the challenge be if they told you everything you need to know!
If you are going to make a living with Photography, not probably the set for you. If you are doing light work and a home studio on a budget, this is perfect.
The only issue I had was with the trigger system it came with. I found it would not trigger reliably which led to many retakes. I ended up discarding it and using another brand.
