When connected to a PC or laptop via the USB cable provided, simply drag and drop your media content in to the MP180 folder, and the projector will sort your files into the appropriate category. The MP180 projects a variety of popular file formats, so there is no need for complex file conversion just to project your content (more format information can be found in the compatibility section).

Additional functionality allows you to then scroll and zoom around your documents, while the slideshow function can be set at various speeds to assist in professional presentations.

Features Built-In Speakers and Audio Out

The MP180 comes equipped with two built-in 3/4-watt speakers that produce robust sound for enjoying music, movies, and videos. It also features audio out, so you can take advantage of headphones or additional speakers via a generic 3.5mm audio jack.

The device's intuitive buttons couldn't be easier to operate, a simple on/off function, volume controls with mute option, and a battery life indicator. The MP180 also features a flip stand intuitively built in to the base of the unit, offering a stable height adjustment, while the universal 6.35mm tripod socket allows the user to manipulate height with the 3M tripod supplied, or utilise compatible tripods and security locks.

Compatibility and Warranty Information

The MP180 is compatible with DVD players, digital camcorders, digital cameras, gaming consoles, laptops, tablets, PCs, smartphones and portable media players.

Based on smartphone capability, the MP180 can make the small screen of your phone large and easy to show to groups. Be sure to test with your phones, as some manufacturers block content out of phones, while older devices (such as previous generations of BlackBerry) do not have a video- or TV-out and can therefore not be connected to the MP180.

The 3M PocketProjector MP180 is backed by a one-year limited warranty.

    The Good:

    - Excellent image quality for it size (the best so far I think).
    - Great built quality.
    - Great battery life.
    - Comes with all accessories you will need.

    The Bad:

    - The user interface is very basic and also buggy, is not what you would expect for this price range. It is even hard and slow to copy files via USB.
    - The files that you can really use without a computer are much more restricted that you think only a few codecs are supported.
    - The wifi and bluetooth are practically useless

    Conclusion:

Excellent pocket projector for using it connected to your desktop, laptop , iPhone, iPad, android, notebook, etc etc.

If you're plan is to travel with only the projector without computer. You will have to take your time preparing all your files, converting all videos and basically making sure everything is working. (long and tedious process)

Consider the model MP150 witch is exactly the same but without the standalone features and much cheaper.

I have used my pocket projector a couple of times now to great effect. Initially I used it for a 6 hour presentation to a small group. It claims not to be a replacement for a large projector but I found it did the job rather well. I plugged it into my iPad straight out the box and it showed my keynote presentation. It was a little warm after 6 hours but still going strong.

I did hit a glitch when trying to show some photos to family. It took about 10mins to work out how to show a slideshow from the iPad. It eventually worked but only after some playing around as there are no instructions for connecting it to Apple products, a serious omission in this day and age. Overall, worth getting if you are looking for portable projector capability.

I had seen the 3M M150 at work and was impressed with the clarity of the image, even in a lighted room. When I got this one model I immediately tried it and the image is even brighter. Adding to a bright image and good size projection, there's all the extra features, wi-fi, bluetooth, internal storage, sd card reader, just plain amazing.

There are two things, though, I must mention, that do not satisfy me in this projector. The first one is the very limited ability to focus, as well as the fact the focus knob isn't very precise in its movement, so it is hard to make a fine adjustment. The sencond thing, which is a major annoyance and the reason I didn't give this projector the full 5 stars, is the battery. Even though it is announced the battery will last for 2 hours in full brightness, and you are not told is that even with the projector off the battery remains in use and it will just go. The time you get to the place where you're making the presentation, part of the battery will be discharged. If you happened to charge it the day before, then the chances are it will be depleted. So, the only way to actually have the 2 hours battery power is by charging it fully, remove the battery and only attach it just before you use the projector.

Another small annoyance that just popped into my mind is the number of times the GUI actually freezes. It seems to be Linux based, but constantly freezes. The browser used is also a very old version of a browser (looks a lot like very old versions of Internet Explorer) and there's a lot of web sites content that will not work on it.

As a projector, though, great tool, with a lot of room for improvement. I am looking forward to an update of firmware, which will hopefully fix some of these problems.

The projector is pretty waste of money.

    Functions:
The WIFI function ideally has no use!!
The SD card reader does not work correctly and reboots the projector
The screen resolution is not very good and needs an absolute dark place to show understanding image!
The battery life is not very good like they claim. It works for about 20-30min
    The user interface is doggy!
The cable that comes with the projector only can be used for laptop/computer VGA. Couldn't find another HDMI cable which can be used to connect in any other HDMI interface!

Respecting other buyer's recommendation i bought this projector. But soon realized, it is an absolute waste of money. It has been sometime I have bought this projector, so can't return it, but definitely will not recommend this one to anyone else.

This Projector is not cover 80'' size, I think it is good for size 50'', and the touch screen is very slow, also is slow in speed, but have battery which is help you to use it very easy.
I change my mind to go with Qumi Q5 which is cover 90'' as original, but I'm using it with 120'' screen like real Cinema, but the price is double.
