Does anyone know if it'll ship with a Slipcover?

I've read that it will be but will look different than what is shown here in the item description.

My question is...what is the purpose of the slip cover? It almost always has the same information as the case itself, and takes up room on the shelf that after a few will reduce the amount of cases you can fit there. We almost always just throw them away. It seems like a waste of money for the companies to make them. What am I missing?

There are some people who actually like to collect them. Plus the spines look nicer on the self.

Was the case the same size as a normal Blu ray case or is it the bigger size blu ray case?

It does come with a slipcover but Amazon have sold out of the slipcover copies so you will have to go to a store to get one.

Received it today but disappointed on two counts firstly the discs were rattling inside so one of them must have come loose and there was no slipcase which since I ordered early March thought it should have come with a slipcase...Phoned and asked for a replacement and the Lady said may be worth ordering again as it could come with a slipcase...will have to wait and see.

Received mine today. No slip cover and for some reason, I'm not upset. Guess I'm glad I have the movie in 3D. Frozen in 3D!! :-)

Mine was shipped via Royal Mail Airmail so the package was delivered by the USPS. Arrived pretty quickly from when Amazon UK sent me a notification that they shipped. Think it was about 4 or 5 days.

Mine arrived yesterday, Friday, and I'm also here in California (Northern). I've ordered a few time from Amazon UK now and frequently, I'll get orders from them faster than orders shipped within the U.S.!!
