4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Newbees 25 Mar 2014

The book was offered as a free ebook. I found the book to be an easy read with enough 3D jargon to help me exploring the subject further. I would have liked some more links to external sources. The coverage of leading 3D printers was helpful, but no price range or external links was given. For a 30 min intro into the subject well worth the time.
4.0 out of 5 stars Short but very informative 14 Mar 2014

The author explains the history of 3D printing & I was quite surprised to learn it has been around far longer than I thought.

If I had one complaint it would be that the book tended to be a tiny bit repetitive but that could be fixed with some editing.

All in all, it's a good read for anyone interested in this new (not really) fangled technology.
