To speed setup and configuration, administrators can create profiles with specific wireless LAN settings for each wireless LAN network; users just click the profile and they are configured for connection.

A Great Value!

My family recently signed up for DSL service in our home, and we love the speed, but our family Mac needed to be hooked up to our wireless router with a physical cable. My PC, therefore, really couldn't be in the same room when I brought it home from college; we don't have the floor space. So, we decided to look into buying a wireless PCI card for my PC, and to keep the actual computer upstairs in my room. I finally settled on the 3COM, and I have to say I'm impressed. All you need to do is install the software PRIOR to installation, put the card in a PCI slot (easy), and start your computer. The software found our router instantly, and within that minute I was surfing the web wirelessly. If you have a simple need for wireless access anywhere in your house, I highly recommend this product. The antenna is has a wire running from the PCI slot, so you can move it for the best reception. The only issue I've had is that I need to disable and then reenable the wireless connection in the system tray after rI restart the computer, but it's really not a big deal. Buy this!

Arrived timely, works as claimed. Used in old K7 with 512MB using slackware 12.0 for web surfing. Provides acceptable performace for streaming video across 2 floors to a linksys wireless hub with wap turned on.
