This book is well written and concise. It's small enough to keep in your bag and dip into whenever you want to. I have found it invaluable in helping me to relax and unwind. It also helps in controlling pain and is as good if not better than medication.

This is an excellent little book on the subject of Mindfulness. I have attended an eight week course, but I believe this book is even more effective than that. The subject is encapsulated brilliantly in an easily digestible format. In my opinion, this book should be offered for sale to all people attending the NHS Mindfulness courses. It has a durable cover and can be popped in a jacket pocket (or handbag as a previous reviewer has noted) and be there for reference any time required. This book can make a real difference and it easily deserves the five stars I have given it.

This is such a great little resource to help bring mindfulness practice into your daily life. The 'introduction' is a great explanation to give basic guidance on mindfulness practice. The little exercises are fantastic - you can choose one according to the amount of time you have. I find it really useful for a morning or lunch time practice and really helps me bring more mindfulness into my daily life. Buy it - you won't regret it.

I am a Mindfulness teacher and always on the look-out for simple, accessible practices for myself and my students. This little book can fit into a pocket of a handbag, so is very portable. Take it to work, on journeys, on holiday, have it handy for when you are unwell. The practices are beautifully clear and the illustrations delightful. Patrizia Collard's depth of experience as a teacher and practitioner shines through. I love this little book.

Brilliant little book and not too much jargon as opposed to the other two books on the same subject. The book with the most varied practical exercises in my opinion and fits in my hand bag should I wish to take it away. I can't see how the other authors can say that it is a 7 week process as I don't think stress and anxiety can just go away in a limited time. This book does not give an actual time limit.so I would continue to use it indefinitely. Funnily enough another book was recommended by my doctor but when I see her next I will point out that this is the better one.
