Book Description

Nicole Lander has no choice but to contact Ryan Titan, the boy she had deeply loved when she was a teenager. Her sister was in desperate need of a heart operation, or she wouldn’t live more than six months. Nicole lied to Ryan when they were teen’s because she hadn’t wanted him to find out about the abuse she was going through from her father.

When Ryan gets the phone call from Nicole, needing his help, he’s ecstatic. He’d finally get to exact his revenge for her leaving him for not being good enough for her. He’ll help her sister but Nicole will also give him what he wants. The problem is that he’s never felt about any other woman the way he feels about Nicole, and his revenge quickly turns into him wanting to walk her down the aisle.

More About the Author

Melody has had a passion for writing since she was a little girl. Her first book was written at around the age of ten, and it was about a handsome prince Charming rescuing his princess and taking her away to his castle to live happily ever after. She continued to write through her teenage years, but never with the expectation to ever publish anything. Around 2007 Melody realized that she had finished her first full manuscript, and looked at it in awe. She had around a hundred books started on her computer, but had never finished one before. She was so ecstatic about her accomplishment that she jumped in to work on another book. She finished five books in a three year period, and then started thinking about possibly publishing those books.
Melody did a lot of research and discovered how to get her books published, and has been in author's bliss since then. She is thrilled by the success of her books, since she loves her characters so much, and wants the world to feel the same way. She is constantly working on new materials, and feels like the sky is the limit. Her family helps come up with many ideas, and her friends are a constant help. She hopes you love her books as much as she loves writing them.
Melody has two amazing children, along with about five additional kids that she adores like her own kids, that keep her busy all the time with school events, and sporting schedules, a husband who has become a pretty great cook since she is planted in front of her computer all the time, and two puppies, who help her writing by making sure to keep her lap or feet warm. Family is always first in her life.

It's not good when you are only on para 2 of the first page of the novel and there's something that is not in 'correct/proper' English that makes you go 'uwot?!!!'; it's just sloppy and kind of insulting that the author didn't bother with a read/edit. The author follows up with 'how did you get my person number?', and 'don't tell me how to deal with my employee's', and 'filled her fully' - well, duh!, 'when Ryan see's you', and so on.

Unfortunately, there were far, far too many 'and so on's for me, and I ended up skim-reading, but only as I was now intrigued to see if this tale would be on a par with all the others I've read by this author.

There is a difference between a man being an Alpha male, and being arrogant enough to think he can do anything/get anything/have it all his way - which the author hasn't quite made the distinction over. Unfortunately, she made Ryan Titan sound like Ryan Tit. And she made him 'practically purr', and come out with 'actually, no-one has told me 'no' in twelve years'. PUHLEESE!!

I actually skim-read from 17% onwards, and it was just about OK, if I ignored how stilted and unlikely the dialogue was, and the above-mentioned irritations

2.0 out of 5 stars THIS WAS NOT VERY GOOD 5 Feb. 2012

This could have been a passable story. But the characters in particular the hero were badly developed. I think the writer meant to portray the hero as an alpha male instead he was just obnoxious and a bully. The dialogue was not realistic, I just cannot imagine anybody talking the way the characters did in this. The relationship between the h/h felt forced. The spelling mistakes were numerous, sometimes really amusing as in Nicole looked in his eyes to see if they belly his words, I hope she meant belied, or when the hero demands how did you get my person number. These sort of errors occurred too often.

1.0 out of 5 stars Grammar bad, plot worse 13 Feb. 2012

As other's have said the proof-reading was very poor, in particular the use of plural apostrophe's [sic]. As for the plot, the notion that the heroine should love this obnoxious bully who virtually raped her is so silly.

Don't bother.

2.0 out of 5 stars Read one, read them all 16 Jun. 2013

I read the previous two books in the series, The Tycoon's Revenge (Baby for the Billionaire - Book One) and The Tycoon's Vacation (Baby for the Billionaire - Book Two) and both were very similar. The first one was OK, the second was just OK . As for this one, it is the last in the series of the Titan cousins (I think) and definitely not the best.
It was a mistake to read the three one after the other. You get sick of too good to be true males' characters and of women who are supposedly strong but cannot resist a touch. You also get sick of cliche and graphic hot scenes (I skipped those, they are so boring and the same in all three books) because it also give the wrong message. The woman says No, but the man (alpha type) ignores it and carries on whatever he is doing and then the woman melt and the No becomes a Yes? It is by reading the 3 books together that I realised that it was basically the same in all the books and that is so wrong. A No is a No, even if the girl likes the boy.
Maybe I am the wrong reader for this type of books, but I feel that romances should give the right message to women. Not a fairy type thing, but a realistic one and surely not give the impression that in real life, love is to play mind games and hard to get (from either side). And that it is ok to start saying No and ends up saying Yes.
And one thing I would love to see in books, especially romance books, it that the authors do not mistake assertiveness and stubbornness.

4.0 out of 5 stars easy read happy ending 3 July 2014
By Katy
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's tricky to review a book like this as it's a simple feel good love story. I can't compare it to other books I read where there's detailed plot and character development as I read those books expecting different things. When I started reading this book, and others by this author, I was expecting a bit of heartache, characters refusing to admit they're in love, other people causing problems and misunderstandings, and eventually, a happy ending. All these elements are in this book and provided a pleasant few hours reading leaving me smiling at the end. This basic formula means that the structure is widely the same in the whole series but as I was expecting this and wanting a light read, I didn't mind. Perfect for the mood I was in when reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been better, but not all bad 8 Sept. 2012
By Nicola_1202 TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition
Having read the previous books in the trilogy (The Tycoon's Revenge (Baby for the Billionaire - Book One) & The Tycoon's Vacation (Baby for the Billionaire - Book Two)), I was a little disappointed with this one. Didn't warm as much to the characters the until about 75% into the book. The editing was also poorer, and it gave the impression that less thought over all went into the story.

However, I have read far worse and this wasn't all bad. It was nice to see the characters from the previous books cross-over and the towards the end it did tie up the entire story, so it is worth reading if you have read the previous two.
