Format: Paperback
Very five-star-deserving on its own, Headwaters still is the work of the same poet who wrote the sonnet series "Crossings" in The Poems of Rowan Williams. They're unlike any other love sonnets, having the complete yet incomplete perfection of Bach's "Air for the G String." (See Dr. Williams' "Bach for the Cello" also in Poems.)
In Headwaters, I come to phrases describing what very nearly can't be described, such as "the air is woven, full of needles," a simple pine scent never so sharp before. Also in "Senses," Headwaters, the touching section reads : "The first task: to find/ a frontier. I am not,/after all, everything." That's several lessons at once.
Headwaters.

A moving collection from the last Archbishop of Canterbury. They were even better when he read them at a charity event.
