This wok was given to me as a Christmas gift. I had to throw it out by April as the non-stick surface came off in the food I was cooking. I never used metal utensils with the wok and only hand-washed it with non-abrasive sponges. Still, the non-stick surface started flaking away after two months. I recommend trying either a carbon steel wok or a wok with a thicker non-stick surface, as this one is very thin.

The wok itself is lightweight and easy to use when the non-stick surface works though.

Having owned these for a while I too am having problems with the non-stick coating. It seems that at high temperatures it breaks down. Which is daft considering you need high temperatures in order to stir fry. Teflon is also poisonous at high temperatures, especially to birds.

Don't bother buying one of these, or other non-stick ones. Buy a regular carbon steel one and season it properly.
