It's utterly useless.

I have a carbon steel wok with no lining and no problem with food sticking. These can be purchased from Wing Yip or another chinese supermarkets for under £10.

I've had one of these for a while now and love it, never had any issue with non-stick, so much better than on the cheaper woks you can buy. It has a good strong handle too and a really sold feel to it. Definately worth spending that little bit more for.
