How does life measure up for a 13-year old girl? Maeve McCarthy is 13 and trying to make sense of everything all at once - bodies, boys, friendships and family. Her best mates, Ruth, Claire and Orla, are more experienced in the ways of the world. They wear bras already (except Claire the feminist) and they've all had boyfriends. The new bra is a start but the girls really hope Maeve can find a fella, even offering kissing lessons to get her started. When Maeve attracts the attention of local heart-throb Brian, she abandons her girlfriends just when they need her most. Snubbed by her mates and in serious trouble at home, Maeve is forced to learn some hard lessons about what's really important in life.

A coming of age film from Ireland about the problems of a young girl and her relationship with boys her family and friends and the resolution she makes of them. It is helpful as an example of the problems that con front teens and as all works out in the end an
example of some ways to meet the problems of growing up.

Its a Bra, Bro! Great Irish Filim 30 July 2014
By D. J. Bub - Published on Amazon.com

My wife constantly mentioned, " that's me, growing up!" (born in Dublin). Its a delightful film. Beware, its not available in DvD 1 and you have to use a global player perspective. Thoroughly enjoyed this filim!
