It is full of handy, quick ideas. Also, while the ideas are being used, our children are improving intellectual, motor, and social skills not to mention the bonding that takes place between parent and child.

5.0 out of 5 stars Put it somewhere you'll pick it up! 26 Aug 2009
Format:Paperback
I've had this for several months now and have managed to pick it up about 3 times! Each time it's offered a great suggestion that leads to loads more fun. I totally recommend it, but you need to have it somewhere you'll force yourself to pick it up and not just on the shelf!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not suitable for older children 3 July 2010
By Bee
Format:Paperback
I found this book really unhelpful. It suggests that the book is suitable for 2-5 year olds, actually most of the activities are only suitable for 2 year olds and wouldn't really be suitable for 3 year olds. Alot of the activities and games suggested aren't really games, it suggests things like how to look at an orange. As someone looking for more inspiration of what to do with a group of 3-5 year olds I didn't find a single idea of what to do as a game in this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a waste of money 15 Jan 2001
By Vegandoc - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I bought this book hoping for some innovative games or activities for my kids. Instead, I found the vast majority of the ideas to be either things that any parent of a 3 year old already knows (let child apply stickers to paper, let child draw outside with chalk, read a book to the child, put your hand in a sock and use it as a puppet, rolling and throwing a ball with the child) or 5-6 line poems that the parent is supposed to memorize and sing with the child. Do not waste your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Precious moments with my children 28 Mar 2007
By F. Gonzales - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Being a busy mother of 3 children under the age of 5, it can be easy to lose perspective. This book is a Godsend! It reminded me to use that sock as a puppet which my 4 year old puts in his "workbox". Every day they ask for a "raisin story"! (that's a certain story in the book) And, just today my 2 yr. old was saying "goodnight" to everything in his room. (taken from "Goodnight Moon) It's a good source of entertainment, precious moments, and not to mention-lots of laughs!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite what I expected 24 May 2011
By Amazon fan - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I guess I'd hoped for some new, more creative activities and games. Many of these are just simple little things that myself, and I'm sure others, find themselves doing naturally. There were some new ideas, though, and I'm sure it might be a good resource for others.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book to keep you one step ahead of your kids 6 Mar 2014
By Mike Jacobs - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is empowering for the brain-dead parent, too exhausted to keep playing a happy and enthusiastic pre-school teacher. My very strong-willed five year old boy needed no encouragement. After one game, he picks the book up whenever bored and we proceed to play. The games actually energize me, so it's a win-win with hardly any difficulty on my part. We like the five-hundred five-minute game book, too..
