Tina Fey, the TV genius, is back and she is back full steam ahead.
I watched just disc one so far but the first episodes of season 6 are so good that is worth ordering the box set just because of them.
As a matter of fact, I think that a two minutes dialog between Jack ( Alec Baldwin ) and his one year old daughter is reason enough to order
season 6. There is also Kelsey Grammer playing a spoof of James Bond and Jenna Maroney ( Jane Krakowski ) being the most honest judge ever in a singers show...
I wasn't very happy about season 5 and was going to wait
to get season 6 through ilove film but it looks like season 6 will take its time to get here and I wanted to see some comedy after
watching too many dramas.
There are several very good or excellent new drama series but good comic tv series are rare, especially when they are so intelligent,
so irreverent and creative as "30 Rock".
The dvds have subtitles in English and Spanish. You will need a free code blu ray or dvd player for this box set.
Extra features has a short making of the live episode. It is also worth watching Jane Krakowski singing and going Janis Joplin.
PS. I have watched all discs now and it is all good. The last disc has a reality tv style episode and a live episode which I think are substandard, as another reviewer wrote about live episodes in season 5, but the live has many inserts of
recorded sketches and one of them is absolutely brilliant. It is a sketch where Tina Fey plays a NBC reporter in the 60s whilst Alec Baldwin and Jon Hamm ( the main actor in Mad Men ) play TV anchors. God, it is so funny, so clever, so "Tina Fey".

If you are a fan of the show and enjoyed the previous seasons, by all means get season 6. I don't regret buying it, and I'm probably going to watch it again at some point. But unfortunately I don't share the other reviewers' enthusiasm about this season. I found it to be clumsy and less funny than previous seasons; definitely past its peak. I was glad to see all the characters again, but I'm left with very low expectations for season 7.

30 Rock is one of the funniest sitcoms I have ever seen. The writing, the characters and actors have all been consistantly brilliant. The 6th and penultimate season contains 21 episodes (plus the alternate westcoast version of the live episode, Cast commentaries, making of etc).

I love 30 rock. It's so funny, zany, and likeable. I think that this final series looked a bit tired and out of new ideas. It's still one of the best comedies ever.

The five first seasons are solid and the sixth one does not disappoint either. New plot elements were introduced and they are not overly disturbing.

Having bought and loved every Season of 30 Rock released Season 6 is finally here - and it's still one of the very best comedies on TV (although, sadly, not shown on the Channels I can get).
If you've somehow missed it, treat yourself to Season 6 AND the previous Seasons now and get up to speed.
You might not get some of the more American references but for sheer creative comedic imagination this is one comedy you shouldn't miss.
Sadly, Season 7 will be the last of this critically acclaimed series, and there's only 13 episodes.

Have to wait for the DVD release as don't have sky etc. What a long wait. Jack, Liz, Jenna et al are still so funny. Can't understand why this isn't more popular in the UK. Looking forward to season 7.
