Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo (250ml):
The active caffeine ingredient stimulates existing male hair growth and prevents hair roots from prematurely becoming inactive, thereby slowing down hair loss. Simply leave on the hair for 2 minutes before rinsing off. The caffeine will then travel along the hair shaft to the hair root, making the hair feel fuller and thicker.

ive used this product within two weeks hair looks thicker but my neck had been itching and tingling didnt take any notice of it at first then one morning looking in the mirror my face was red looked like id been in the sun.i stopped using this product and my neck and face symptoms went away guess im alergic to this product .but be carfull when using it

I view products like these as a means of maintaining what hair I have, not a means of growing a thick head of hair. You'll never have the hair you had years ago, deal with it, anyone telling you otherwise is lying OR trying to con you with clever marketing. You might be able to slow hair loss down, but if its determined on falling out, it more than likely will.
Anyway, back to the product! My regime involves minoxidil (kirkland) twice a day and usually a good anti dandruff shampoo also daily. I now use this, the shampoo smells good and after lathering a 2 minute wait and rinse my scalp feels clean and lightly refreshed. This shampoo with leave your hair squeaky clean, resulting in what feels and looks like thicker hair (which is actually dry coarse hair as this product has no conditioner). At around £[] for three bottles it is the cheapest I've found, this product is typically £4-6 in shops.
Only time will tell if this product works, however I have had some promising results with minoxidil and I am hopeful this shampoo will help maintain any new growth, if not, at the very least I'll have fantastic smelling hair at least...

I've been using Alpecin for 6 months.
I have hair loss in a typical pattern and wasn't that bothered about it but didn't relish the thought of having to start shaving my head.
I purchased Alpecin to prevent further hair loss and am happy to report that it works. An added bonus is that i now have a very fine, downy area of new hair to my previously bald patch. A downside is i also have very fine hairgrowth between my eyebrows !

do not buy it

Do not believe the hype - will do nothing for hair loss or hair...
