5.0 out of 5 stars 3rd times a charm 7 April 2011
By Derek Vazquez - Published on
Format:Audio CD
I realize this Sirens album is getting no kind of press, but it's a shame because I feel it's their best one to date. The production on these tracks is better than it's ever been, each one is varied, the vocals are tighter and well sychronized (a problem I had with their other two albums) and the switch in the style of genre is to their benefit. These pop and r&b oriented tracks suit the girls more than the wannabe gangsta songs on previous albums. In short, I loved every track 9except maybe disco sirens). I'm only slightly disappointed that Merry Go Round wasn't included on the album...
3.0 out of 5 stars Fun shameless addictive electro-pop girl group at its best! 30 April 2012
By G. Mitchell - Published on
Format:Audio CD
The 3rd time's the charm for Sirens? While I thought their first two albums were so-so (All Saints girl pop meets wannabe hip-hop stance), but with #3 Optium Apathy, the girls have ditched all pretense and come up with an electro-pop makeover, creating an album chock full of should-be-hits like GOOD ENOUGH and STILETTOS, whose hooks drill into your brain upon impact. Cute, fun, frothy, playful, lightweight dance/pop at its best - why fight it?
