would be a great product if it was more robust, if your buying this to use alongside some top end headphones to plug into a device that will be kept in your pocket id avoid this i had mine for a few months and the cables broken inside already, partly my fault admitted but i do look after my cables also and expected more from this.

Solid cable with chunky connectors (one of the ends rattled a little when it arrived, but as the connector screws together, tightening it up by hand stopped the rattle - it had obviously worked a little loose in transit).
The cable is exactly as described - relatively short, but providing a step down in size from 6.35mm headphone connector to 3.5mm headphone connector. I use this with a set of full sized Sennheisers connected to a variety of devices (laptop, Zune, TV...) - the connector is less awkward than using a conventional 6.35mm - 3.5mm adaptor (particularly on small devices like the Zune or an iPod).

After purchasing Grado headphones i needed to find an adapter (annoying that they don't supply one) and came to find that this particular type are hard to come by. All i kept seeing was the Grado official adapter that costs £13!!!
This adapter is amazing and for the price it is incredible.
Pros:
- Excellent build quality
- Looks really nice
- With there being a cable seperating the male/female plug it takes the weight and stress off the headphone port
Cons:
- None
For the price this is a steal and i recommend anyone looking for an adapter of this type to get this one hands down!
*UPDATE* (03/01/2012)
The adapter has degraded in sound quality and causes crackling in the left ear cup of my Grado's. I tried my headphones with another adapter and a proper 6.3mm jack on a Denon amp and it sounds perfect so the adapter is causing the problem. Also the female jack has become loose and keeps falling off. I guess you get what you pay for, it was good whilst it lasted though...
