So we planted Raspberries, Gooseberries, Blueberries and other soft fruit and vegetables and got awful results for the first four years. Then a friend told us to build a cage covered in netting to help protect them from birds and flying insects - with extraordinary results! Last year everything came forth and multiplied to such an extent that we ended up giving away stuff to our friends and neighbours. This netting was used over bamboo frames to make the cages over pots and a large raised bed and this year we're aiming for even greater productivity. An excellent investment!

Not really a lot to say. I bought it to protect some cabbages from the ravages of the Cabbage White Butterfly. The holes are small enough to keep the adults from laying eggs on the cabbages and it seems to have done the trick. It was a little difficult to put up single handedly because it was tightly packaged and had obviously got used to being that shape - but I managed it in the end. My advice would be to get someone to help (which is what I will do next time).

Thanks to this netting I now have my allotment pests under control. This is an excellent buy, good value for money. I bought it on a wednesday and it arrived on Saturday, I was very happy, with this purchase.

Quite fine netting.
I was a little disappointed with the thickness of the nylon and I don't think this netting will last as long as the last one I had, (about 8 years). Read more

Cheap and won't last
Granted I have had this netting for a couple of years now but it is all broken now. It must degrade or something because it rips so easily, it has just fallen apart. Read more

you get what you pay for
The netting certainly prevents birds getting in or out... sadly the wide gauge meant that when a pigeon did get in (due to a peg coming loose, it became entangled and died. Read more
