Bought because I needed a dual link cable for 1080p output from a new media centre system that I was buildin although it should work with a standard DVI connection too.
The cable seems good quality (you don't need great quality on a digital signal!) and I've used it with various resolutions up to BluRay/1080p and carrying sound over HDMI too.
