Makes My Mac Freeze 13 April 2012

The quality feels very plastic. I have tried to use it with my portable projector and the only thing that happens is that my Mac book freezes and you have to do a complete restart of the PC. Used my friends Apple purchased cable and everything is fine. Very disapointed.
