With so many PS3 games requiring hardware installs you soon run out of hard drive space. If like myself you have a large collection of games an upgrade is pretty much essential and extremely straight forward. I found this product to be as good as the original with no difference in load speeds etc and at this size future upgrades are highly unlikely. I would also advise the purchase of a hard drive enclosure as you can format your old PS3 drive and have 60gb of portable storage, 10/10.

I bought this to replace an almost full smaller HDD in my laptop. After I used a Nexons HDD enclosure to clone my original drive onto it, I installed it in the laptop, and it now works perfectly as the main laptop HDD (after I adjusted the partition on it from the cloned size of the old HDD to the full 250GB of this drive). There was no original box or manual, but the seller dispatched the HDD with plenty of protection.

Okay, I'm running out of storage space for my 60gb Playstation 3, could i plug this in as well as having my internal hard disk drive plugged in?

Myles is spot on. This drive works well in the PS3 and I bought the Amazon "buy also" enclosure ("black Nexons") so I can use the old drive - cheap and very good value. Read more
