A must-see for fans 18 Sept. 2013
By Alan Gold - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
I saw this at the local cinema before the DVD was released. It's all concert footage, no interviews or documentary content.
The show was so engaging that at a few points during the screening I reflexively applauded after favorite songs. The backing band is very good, led by longtime Morrissey guitarist Boz Boorer. Morrissey is getting a bit old for this, but is still in fine voice and puts on a great show. You will definitely want to view this on as large a screen as you can find and with a decent sound system. I think the film does a good job of capturing the excitement of a live concert.

Good show hampered by bad editing choices 13 Nov. 2013
By Downunder Moz fan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Blu-ray Verified Purchase
Overall, this is well worth the purchase with a few reservations that probably don't have much to do with Moz himself. My main gripe with this DVD that causes me not to give it five stars is that I am really over live DVDs that continually cut to audience members singing along. This DVD is edited in such a manner that this crossing over to individuals in the audience became really irritating - at least to me anyway. This may be something that just doesn't annoy anyone else so maybe you don't need to be concerned by it, but let's face it, when the show is filmed before such a small audience we get to see the same people singing along over and over again. Now, this isn't anything against them mind you (but is against production and editing choices) as I bought the DVD to see Moz and band. For my money, the best Morrissey live DVD is " Who Put the M in Manchester". If you've never bought a live Morrissey DVD before maybe consider that one first.

Morrissey the great!!! 12 Jan. 2014

Morrissey shines in another live DVD classic. 25live is filled with some old and new classics. Really enjoyed Morrissey interaction with the crowd and his set list was great as well. Sure some of my favorites were not on the set list but still a treat to see Morrissey .

25: Live 1 Jun. 2014
By MN-seller - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Blu-ray Verified Purchase
Morrissey has been around a while, and this live concert is a testament that he still has it, and, in fact, never "lost it". Morrissey's repertoire spans many decades, and you can expect to see songs from each of them played right here, for you.

I believe it's safe to say Morrissey, in terms of personal performance, is fantastic during this performance. He still performs quite well live, he's energetic, and you can really tell he still has passion for performing (yes, he takes off his shirt as well). Also, I enjoyed the audience interaction, some which is quite heart warming.

Now in terms of quality of the recording:
-The video is stunning and looks fabulous in 1080p high definition
-The audio is fantastic, allowing you two choices: LPCM Stereo or DTS-HD Master Audio
-The camera angles are varied with an excellent balance of Morrissey, the audience, and even a little Boz Boorer (as well as the rest of the band)

The bonus material is great, but extremely sparse. The Studio Session is great, but ends abruptly after only 4 songs. It's a shame too because I may have enjoyed that part the most out of everything the Blu Ray has to offer.

Don't squander this opportunity and do yourself a favor and pick this Blu Ray up!

GREAT QUALITY! 4 Feb. 2014
By grumpy101 - Published on Amazon.com

This DVD showcases Morrissey's Hollywood Gig. IF the stage was bigger the camera crew would have more angles to record from. I can tell they did their best to record on all different angles. The set he played was wonderful!!! And really I enjoyed the entire DVD. Even the extra footage. I know some people may feel iffy about buying a DVD that's not really promoted or legit. But this DVD is completely Legit. I took a risk and bought for my father's birthday. We watched it and I realized what great high quality this entire DVD is. I would highly recommend this DVD. (Side note this DVD does not show ANY Concert Footage from Staples Center ONLY Hollywood Footage, However it shows a bit backstage of the Staples Center Gig) Totally Recommend!
