More About the Author

I have a real love of learning and books in particular. It took me 10 years to write, edit, publish and launch my first book. That's just crazy! As a coach, people wanted me to help them get writing and get published, so I launched The Book Midwife business in 2001 and people seem to love that metaphor.

Since then, I've helped hundreds of people worldwide achieve the satisfaction and rewards of becoming published authors, many achieving great attention from the media and bestseller status. I belive very strongly that everyone does have a story to tell, and they should write and publish books but please go about it with care. After all, you only have one chance to make a first impression!

From the Author

I am very excited to be bringing this book into the world! I have worked with hundreds of thought leaders over the past 10 years, and this book is the result of the insights they gave me about what it takes to become a REAL thought leader - someone who influences people with their ideas. The book is also a testament to their courage because we all know it is not easy to stick your neck out and risk criticism, especially when it comes to your values and personal insights.

I believe there are 4 qualities that exceptional leaders have in common and display every day. Some people use these in a conscious way; others more unconsciously. If the information in this book helps people to become bolder in their thinking and more excited about sharing their wisdom and ideas with the world, then I will have done my job.

Have fun reading the book and good luck building your profile as an expert in your field!

I am not sure that I would agree with all that Mindy has written in 24 Carat Bold, however, and it's a big however, that's not much at all. Out of down to earth, practical experience Mindy has provided an excellent insight into what it means to present your expertise to your market place in a way that makes a difference. It's a difference that will enable you to both demonstrate credibility and become visible in your chosen marketplace.

24 Carat Bold is a book that delivers. It's full of easy to access, practical tips and insights into becoming a thought a leader, a recognised expert in your field. Mindy makes some excellent challenges to the self created obstacles that prevent a potential thought leader from becoming a REAL though leader. For you budding authors, there is an excellent chapter on how to set about writing a book. If that is what you want to do, the book is worth it just for that.

Every week people ask me about whether they could... should... or ought to wrote a book. Or not! (Part of my 'Expert' model is that people should write.)

And here is s book for such people. Mindy succinctly explains why people should write a book... Not in effusive, evangelical terms but in a logical manner. She explains why it would be a good thing for you and for your reputation. She explains how you could do it. What it would require.

This book is not a massive, detailled, step-by-step how-to book. Rather it will give you a clear insight into WHY you should write (or not) and what is involved.

A great introduction to the subject with clear signposts towards what you need to do next.

Having met Mindy for the first time 1-2-1, she asked me if I would read it 24 carat bold and give a review! Well I'd not read a book in years - not a real one! I said to myself at 10:45pm that night "I'll read the intro to get started." At just before midnight I had to put it down - over 50 pages later! Not because I was tired or bored - I just knew if I didn't stop I'd keep reading all night and not be able to wake up in the morning!

This book is so easy to read, engaging, supporting, entertaining and it really felt relevant to ME. It was like having a 1-2-1 with Mindy any time I wanted to - I could literally pick her up and put her down when I needed her advice, support and reassurance.

Since then Mindy has become a great friend. I thank her for asking me to read and review her book - it was not chore, but a pleasure - I read it cover to cover in no time, and was immediately thinking differently.

24 Carat Bold provides the steps YOU need to really begin to stand out from the crowd, to be seen as a REAL thought leader. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants more recognition, to be more successful or simply to be listended to more!

Mindy-Gibbins Klein's pertinent, well researched book has highlighted a vacuum in society: the need for people to step forward and own themselves as the real Thought Leaders in their field.

She provides both inspiration and practical strategies to enable the reader to move to the next level and fulfil this role, identifying the defining characteristics of a Real Thought Leader and encouraging us to set a new, higher standard for ourselves by taking up this mantle. Our society, particularly our young people, are desperate for true role models and mentors to inspire them to become something more worth while than "celebrities." As Real Thought Leaders step up and give people something to aspire to, we will see a positive future unfold for all of us.

Thank you, Mindy, for putting the spotlight on this subject, equipping us to become Real Thought Leaders in such a thought provoking, empowering manner.

I've had the good fortune to read a copy of this book as it's released.

Having heard Mindy talk on the subject I knew I was in for
something useful but this book it packed full with some very interesting content.

Mindy is a highly effective coach and so I suppose it's not a surprise that
she uses some of her coaching skills in the way she's put this book together.
That means you feel you are being helped along your own path towards being a good Thought Leader.

Apart from the practical aspects I also liked the way she shared some of her own personal experiences,
which made it even more of an engaging read.

If you are an aspiring Thought Leader or one already, read this book to project yourself further down that path.

Mindy has demystified what is required to become a REAL thought leader. She clarifies a number of misconceptions and fully justifies her arguments - which are evidently based on a combination of personal experience as a coach and speaker, observation and research.

This book is easy to read and I've made loads of notes and highlighted numerous points throughout the chapters.

Highly recommended to anyone who has any dreams of being a thought leader, of being talked about or of being identified as an expert in their field.
