"Forget Trek! Stargate is now sci-fi's biggest hit!" - TV Guide "Stargate SG-1 is consistently one of the best SF shows on TV" - SFX"

Product Description

"Stargate SG-1" is a sci-fi TV phenomenon: the story of an elite military team as they probe the secrets of the Stargate, the mysterious, ancient portal that allows instantaneous travel to remote planets throughout the universe. In season 9, exciting new faces appear at the SGC alongside the old favourites, as following Jack O'Neill's promotion, Lt Colonel Cameron Mitchell (Farscape's Ben Browder) steps in to lead a new-look SG-1. This is the official in-depth guide to the show: packed with behind-the-scenes interviews, exclusive pictures, a comprehensive episode guide and contributions written by the cast, giving their unique take on the characters they play!

Good addition to the Companion series, a bit more detail 2 Mar 2007
By A. Burchfield - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Thomasina Gibson wrote the first 4 volumnes in the Stargate Companion series- this one is written by Sharon Gosling. The only real difference compared to the Gibson editions is that season 9 is the only one covered in book 5. For each episode you'll get guest cast lists, a few pictures and two (not just one as in Gibson's books)quotes from the story. Ms. Gosling might not be quite as "chatty" in style as Gibson was, and you'll get twice as much text per episode. I like the greater amount of information presented, even the extra sections contributed by cast & crew are expanded- very interesting.

The book is well worth owning if you're a fan of the series.

What can I say but THANK YOU Sharon Gosling for a outstanding book. In the past Companion book Thomasine Gibson wrote them and have enjoyed each and every book in the series. This is a MUST for every Stargate fan.
Not bad.. 28 Jan 2007

The book is good for episode descriptions. It goes a little further into background of the episodes, but not that much. Other things in the book are character descriptions and also some of the crew is mentioned in it. It's good if you haven't seen the episodes or if you want to go a little more in depth.
