Even if you have the original Primal Blueprint there is still enough here to warrant adding it to your collection, and if you haven't got any books on primal/paleo living then this is a really fantastic place to start.

I lost 10-pounds in just under 3 weeks following the food and fitness side of this quite closely. That includes a night out and subsequent 24-hours of crappy food intake while nursing a hangover. I was never really hungry and had decent energy levels throughout. There's a wealth of advice and information online to support you with food choices. I did feel a bit unwell at the beginning as my body transitioned, but that soon went away. My girlfriend struggled with energy levels throughout, and found the whole process difficult even though she also lost weight. I'd definitely do it again, you can't argue with the results!

The biggest problem with this book is that it's way too long and has way too much unnecessary information. Sisson's writing style is informal but he procrastinates too much. Core information you want about the diet seem to be hidden within paragraphs and paragraphs of dull text (though to be fair, at the end of each, lengthy, chapter, he does provide a bullet-point summary of the key learnings).

This problem is further confounded on the Kindle. The latter third of the book is a series of 'diary' inserts for your 21-days, where you record various elements (such as what you ate, how you felt, energy levels etc.) - these are redundant on the kindle, as you can't write on them nor print them out. Additionally, with the kindle, flicking back and forth to find certain key information points or charts, is near impossible (well, it's possible, but you have to go through page-by-page).

Most of the information I have used from Sisson actually comes from his free website (marksdfailyapple.com) and not the book. I'd avoid the book and stick with his website... but if you do buy this, just read the bullet points at the end of each chapter; it's all you really need to know

I have read many books based on these health principles and this is one of the best 'how to' versions out there. If you want to know how to apply the paeleo eating programme to your life this book gives you a clear road map to follow.

Great book be prepared for the work you will need to put in to see the results your body will feel tighter and you will be more aware of how you feel when you eat crap and you will find that really sweet things that you use to craze are gone (it will take a while but the sweet tooth will go) get use to eating ) 70% & up dark chocolate and it will teach you to connect & listen to your body and how it feels when you eat specific foods
