20 kg sunflower hearts,

birds absolutely love them, however, the packing was a bit strange this time round...........there's a paper sack.......open.....with sunflower hearts spilled out, and very mouldy at the bottom, this is all inside a sealed white hessian sack. have managed to put dry sunflower hearts in a metal container, and have put the seeds that were loose in the white sack at the top of the garden to see if anything would want them..........so far untouched.............usually immaculate packing.....not too sure what happened this time.......sure the birds don't care but £36 total for a large amount of mouldy sunflower hearts is not my idea of value...........will think twice next time i come to order.......

kindest regards
cath

Quick service and better hearts than previously purchased elsewhere. Very little mess as no husk. We have very happy birds!

Sunflower hearts do seem to be the most popular food and though this large quantity might seem expensive is a really good bargain in terms of the entertainment watching the birds feeding offers. Anyway, buying smaller quantitiies would cost around twice as much.
Then there's the added bonus of hardly any mess as any bits which fall onto the ground are swiftly gobbled up by the birds who prefer not to use the bird-table.
Consumption does now seem to be slowing down too as we're past the breeding season though I expect it to go up again once the really cold wether sets in and natural food becomes scarce.
I'll be back for more of this top quality product.......

This sack of sunflower hearts is the very best value for money I have found on the internet. The increase in birdlife in our garden since buying these hearts regularly to feed them has been phenomenal - goldfinches, bullfinches, and many others love them. At less than £2 a kilo you won't find any cheaper anywhere, and with no postage to pay, it's a real bargain.

This is my first sunflower heart purchase. Three years ago I began feeding the birds and now garden is alive with them. Sparrows mainly. I graduated from mixes to black sunflowers and now hearts. Its getting more and more expensive. That's why this purchase is so good. Its the right product at the right price and the free postage. Buying in bulk brings the price down too.

Sunflower hearts have to be one of the best value pure bird foods I have ever bought, probably only matched in popularity by peanut granules and mealworms in our garden. I feed them from an ordinary hanging feeder and also ensure a good supply is available in both a ground feeder and directly on the lawn.

Sunflower hearts are Sunflower seeds with the outer husk removed, which makes it easier for the birds to eat them and also results in significantly less waste on the ground around the feeders. You may not notice the difference if your feeder is over grass but it'll be huge if over a patio.

Black Birds seem to prefer to peck from the lawn, as do Collared Doves and Pigeons; Magpies and Crows like the ground feeder, the Robins flit between all three but the smaller birds mostly like the hung feeders.

I tend to buy the larger 20Kg sacks of sunflower hearts as they are very popular and that size is generally the most economical - it is, however, always worth checking as there are occasionally offers on some of the smaller sized bags.

I like the colour of all the birds my feeders bring to the garden but it can become costly.
Buying bulk is a great way to save cash and the quality is excellent.

Personally I hated them, they got stuck in my teeth but the birds loved them. I just open the back door in the morning and they stuff their wee faces all day on them.
Seriously, they were very well priced and arrived very quickly by the delivery service.
Would recommend this to anyone feeding their bird population over winter!
