In my mind any 2012 documentary should have two components..John Major Jenkins and Geoff Stray. They are in my humble opinion, the most highly regarded 2012 experts, along with possibly David Wilcox. Here they deliver again, especially John Major Jenkins who gives his best interview yet on all aspects of the phenomenon. In with this, we have David Icke and Patrick Geryl...heretics by reputation but infact very interesting and eccentric. In fact Geryl's theory about the sunspot cycles and the end of the world have infact gained some support of late and though he has little physical evidence to back up his claims, the theory is at least plausible...if not a little scary. A featured guest that most interested me was Peter Taylor, a climate expert and former UN advisor I believe. He explains the science very effectively and also has some strong moral and spiritual beliefs embedded within that. The author of the classic Orion Mystery, Adrian Gilbert, is another good source of information and adds some interesting elements to the whole picture. Overall I was most satisfied witht the documentary, and whilst it did not appear to have the budget of some other mainstream documentaries I have seen, it certainly delivered a balanced view, that for periods, went that little bit further than the mainstream would dare.

I could not wait for this DVD to land on my front door mat. This DVD originates from Edge media TV, and I am their greatest fan, but I always get frustrated with the sound quality of their programs, So the big day arrives, Mr postman shoves my long awaited purchase through the door, with feverish hands I rush to the DVD player trying like a mad man to get the plastic wrapping off of the DVD case, and you know how hard that is while in a frenzy, anyway the case is open and DVD is thrust into the machine, in the mean while my other half has made me a cup of tea ready for the big moment, I sit in anticipation, BINGO! all starts rolling, what's wrong with the sound? mmmmm! some one has been messing around with my player controls, WIFE!!! what have you messed with, she replies, no I have not touched anything, I check the sound controls, the sound is OK, yes you have guessed by now, same old edge media problem, the sound is terrible, or the lack of it, I had to turn the volume up to it's highest point to get anything that was audible, I feel really let down, How can they get something like the sound volume so wrong. Before anyone says anything about checking my equipment, I play many DVDS a week on my machine, and have no problems, This is just a very bad recording.If you don't want to end up pulling your hair out with utter frustration, then don't buy this DVD. 2012 An Awakening, a well written and perfectly balanced presentation of the 2012 prophecy/end date. For anyone worried about the end of the world, you may want to avoid further presentations with Patrick Geryl, essentially Geryl says it as he sees it...2012 will be pure hell,in his words 99% of all humans will die...no exception! Whilst there is no doubt Geryl has done some intense research, I still can't help but think he has over interpreted the Mayan and Egyptian texts, yes a great flood is mentioned and yes a great flood has happened in the past, however from what I have read from other researchers,his calculations are way out. However, his research into finding the Hall of records/ Labyrinth is very interesting and I would urge anyone interested in Atlantis to watch this.
I particularly liked the climate change chapter and it was thread into the 2012 prophecy very well. I would have liked to see more from Geoff Stray but the information presented from John Major Jenkins makes up for that. Give this a try and do your own research to gain a true understanding of 2012.
