I have tried a number of different options to help my children and myself learn German and given up on them all. This one we all like. The cartoons really help you remember the words. The german words are spoken by German speakers, and the catch phrases are presented by various different voices, giving variety and audible triggers for remembering the words and genders. You have to type the words so you can't skimp on the spelling either. You can test yourself and the software will present you with the ones you had difficulty with to practise afterwards, so you don't have to go through the whole lesson again - unless you want to. The test shows you the answer in full, so you get to see the cartoon again, which is a great reminder without having to return to the lesson. You can have up to 6 users, which means everyone in the family can go at their own pace. I have spent 1 hour and 43 minutes on it over 3 days and learned 76 words so far. There are notes on grammar for many of the words, and a series of lessons covering around 500 German sentences, which I have not begun yet, but which provide a comprehensive introduction to the language. An affordable price and very quick delivery. I recommend it.
