This was bought for me in the 1990s in Radio shack in the states, and I have been searching for a replacement since the last one got lost many years ago. I am now a Electrical Engineer probably thanks in part to this very set. Although this item was bought on nostalgic terms, I have no doubt that it is a comprehensive set to any person wanting to start learning more about electronics/components and how they can all fit together. Well worth the money and I would recommend this item to anyone who is curious or wants to learn about electronics.

The instructions are very good and ease the reader from a pictorial representation of the wires and the product, to a more standard electrical circuit schematic.

Dont forget 6 off AA batteries and also a multimeter to check and confirm the circuits for your own understanding, for example;Draper 60792 Digital Multimeter With Backlight

This is a must if you are a complete novice to wanting to learn about electronics. It builds your skills as you move through each lesson and their is no complicated equipment involved. I'm 48 yrs old and have wanted to learn electronics for some time.I thought this item was just for kids, but I'm really pleased I took a gamble. These projects have been thouroughly educational and empowering.

Fun, educational, good instructions. Easy to use.

Thank you to the previous reviewer who recommended a multimeter to go with it. This has increased my son's enjoyment and understanding of the kit. Very good idea.
