Rhyas Lawnmower 20 Feb 2012
By Namron
Bought this Lawnmower not expecting it to be up to very much as its such a low price for a self propelled mower, how wrong I was its great, the only thing I think could improve it would be better instructions. the plastic locking bolts aren't as good as perhaps some would like but this is a cheap bit of kit, mine started first pull and cut though long wet grass with ease and the hose adapter cleans it up after use what more could you ask for from a machine that's about a hundred pounds cheaper than its nearest rival.

This is a dreadful product, in my opinion. In comparison to my previous Briggs and Stratton Yardmaster, I find it heavy and awkward to use and imagine that it would only be of any use if you have lawn like a snooker table. In use, it not only scalps the lawn, but because the height adjustment is done by springs on the front wheels, it actually digs itself into any high spots that you may have, like some sort of mechanical turtle. Also after two months, the back wheel fell off (brazing on the axle failed). Although the seller would replace or repair, I would have to pay the return costs (cost in the region of a cheap lawnmower), so I had the parts sent to me and repaired locally. After the repair, the mower now can't be pulled backwards, so I now have to lift and manhandle it about the lawn, and when it digs itself in to a high spot!
Even though the mower is less than a year old, I don't wish to persevere with it and will be taking it to the dump!

Pros:-
Good price
Has functions that are useful e.g. self propelled, large capacity bag, 3 levels of grass collection, large cut

Cons: -
Heavy
Difficult to start (6-8 pulls)
Poor quality (wheel fell off, clips for extending the handle are not strong enough)
Height adjustment is not positive enough

buying a lawn mower 23 Mar 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
when buying a lawn mower the question is which one should i buy. I choose the ryhas 20 in self propelled because i have quite a large garden. ryhas said it would make short work of a large garden and i must say it does. shop around and you will see the cost is a bit dearer than a manually push type but it is well worth the extra few pounds it gives you more time to enjoy a nice cold larger when youve finished.the cleaning is a doddle.just connect your hosepipe and its done.the delivery was excellant the company was easy to contact and a complete range of spares is available. no i dont own the company. the only complaint i had was there should have been a pint of oil and there wasnt mind you the price of oil now i can understand why it wasnt supplied.but overall a quality product.
