i'm looking to buy this to record my car journey, but i have 2 questions: 1) can this record whilst being charged? (i intend to leave permanently connected in the car) 2) what happens when the SD card is full? will it delete & overwrite the oldest recording automatically, or will it stop recording untill i manually remove recordings?
2) Stop recording until fresh card inserted, but only as long as there is sufficent juice in the battery.
PS I'm a bit puzzled about your intention to leave it permanently connected in the car. What will it be attached to for charging? These can also be charged via the mains, of course with a compatible charger plug.
Also, the battery won't last very long on continuous use as it's a one cell so will wear out in no time.
You can find replacement batteries for these on the Net, but you'll need a soldering kit which are usually quite inexpensive and are also good for other soldering uses besides cameras.
some stores claim that this device can not record whilst on charge - pretty useless if i were to consider using it for an in-car journey recorder. while i dont need it recording when im away from the vehicle, it would need to charge when en-route.
sounds like this product is no good anyway - there is no continuous record feature, and i will have to manually replace SD card/delete recordings.
