By Mr. H TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Audio CD
What started as a series of loose jams between guitarist Mark Buteaux and percussionist Dilge Watson took on a different twist when frontman Mat bethancourt arrived in the studio to work on some demos.

Serving up swirling psychedelic riffs straight out of the Big Book of Brockian guitars circa Hawkwind 1974, turning the amps up to 11 and letting fly, they're also not averse to pickin gout delicate, Eastern tinged acoustinc tunes and looking longingly at the back catalogue of the late, lamented Tea party.

An utter psych delight from beginning to end, you should own this.

It lashes at you like a rabid dog in the middle of a torrential storm, followed by glorious basking in sunlight while the eye passes over, only to be whipped up into a frenzied crescendo for the final throw.
It’s hard, fast and extremely well crafted… An excellent debut to the talents of this outfit. Well, it knocked the stuffin’ out of my teddy bear…missus!

Kings Of Frog Island - self-titled (Elektrohasch) 23 April 2007
By Mike Reed - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Decent, off-the-wall psychedelic debut CD by the UK based trio. Dig that crazy name! Wonder how they came up with that. Favorable cuts here are "Everyone's Gonna Lose Their Head", the awesome "Psychomania" and "Beyond The Revolution". As I listened to this disc for a third time a few weeks after I first got it, I noticed the entire CD is, in fact well written and played. No masterpiece, mind you but worth checking out. Might possibly appeal to fans of Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Electric Wizard and early Sabbath.
