I've bought this PC DVD in lieu of my gaming rig arriving. Just for the craic, I instaalled it on my 6 year old, 1.25GHz computer. It took nearly 3/4 of an hour and when i was finally able to click on the icon on the desktop, a blank window flashed up for about 4 nano seconds before my computer crashed. Haha.... I hope my new system fares a little better!!
The thing about Crysis is that it may just not like a computer it's installed on. Also, the sensitivity of people to frame rates determines how they will respond to the limitations they will inevitably have trying to run the game at high or very high settings; some people (like me) don't really care if the game is often running at 22-25FPS as long as there is decent anti-aliasing, good textures, etc., whereas some people are untra-finicky about trying to get 30+FPS from the game with other settings pushed lower. IMO it's frame rate demands of many gamers that can spoil Crysis.
