First of all remember this is a cheap camera so do not expect it to work like those you see in the action from Police Shows. That said I have used it on journeys I have made in a variety of conditionms. I Have not tested it during the night. However it does work very well. I found the best previews to be on the PMB Picture Motion Browser on my desk top computer which shows a recording about 9 inch square. On the Windows 7 programme it shows full screne, in my case, 22 inch and it is poor quality. The audio is poor, but I always have the radio on so I am not bothered about that. I found the pictures to be good enough to identy anything or anyone who is likely to cause you any problem whilst driving, which is what it is all about. For the price it worked well in all conditions and is good value. Just a point like a lot of people I inadvertently clicked onto chinese and couldn't find english again. I worked it out. Go to the 2nd page of the menu and it is the second item down. Click on that and you will get into the langauge menu. Its simple, plug in and go, instructions not really needed but are mostly in Chinese anyway. The "infra red" night mode seems to do an OK job, continuous record loop so no changing of SD card needed. Am surprised at the quality of it to be honest, for the price was expecting something worse so that is a pleasant surprise. I was going to order a Roadhawk kit but after seeing the picture decided to save myself £200 and keep this instead.
Simple camera with time/date stamp, no fancy GPS tracker or speed tracker, but it never promised it in the first place.

I have tried the recorder today; it seems to be working fine so far. The picture is reasonably good.
What I didn't really like is the fact that I was sent a used recorder, I could tell from so many scratches on the screen plus the packaging was open not sealed. For the price I paid for it, it's not worth returning it unless it stops working; I guess I just have to add the seller to my black list.

no bad for the money
this is not to bad for the money. you get what you pay for. the sound is not the best tho. no usb or av cables tho
