Sad to say but my old VHS recording of Kate's 1979 Television Special is looking a lot worse for wear these days. I'm glad to say that this recording of her performance will do nicely until someone releases a DVD version of the show. Her duets with Peter Gabriel really show off her, at the time, still to be properly discovered range. Remember at the time of recoding, we'd only had three albums to go by. Her next album being a fairly drastic change from the previous three.

This CD contains a mix of those 3 albums plus a few that weren't released commercially - at least not in the UK. The sound quality is very good and they evoke memories of the pictures that went with the sound. Well worth the money, I'd recommend it to anybody.

Good news for Kate bush fans - just received this today and I can confirm that this is a top quality item. Kate Bush fans will be well familiar with this Xmas special originally broadcast back in1979 and this is a transfer of the audio from that broadcast. I'm pleased to say the sound quality is excellent and it is a real pleasure to hear this again on my CD player in pristine quality. Excellent quality tri-fold out digipack sleeve (with an incredible picture of Ms Bush on the cover. Wow indeed!) and the disc itself is a top quality silver factory pressed disc as opposed to a lesser quality CD-R that you might expect for the money. All in all, thoroughly recommended and a great item to have in your KB collection - you will play it again and again, trust me.

This is one fantastic CD which includes a duet with Peter Gabrielle and also a cracking stand alone track by him "Here Comes The Flood". It is basically the soundtrack to the Kate Bush Christmas Special TV show which previewed some future tracks at the time including an early version of "December Will Be Magic Again". Kate Bush at her very, very best.

Fantastic, so pleased to have this on CD. The sound quality is great and was well worth the purchase price. Includes the duet Another Day with Peter Gabriel - was worth the money for this track alone.

As long Kate does not release a proper live album (although you might find the Hammersmith 1979 concert somewhere on cd) some bootlegging keep coming up. This cd release isn't a official release either. Having said that, I bought it as a KB collector and the other issues were promosing.

The sound quality is quite good, sometimes a bit overmodulated due to the level of recording. Also you can tell it is from a tv special, so it lacks a natural bass (the bass is quite dominant to say and I had to switch it a bit lower) and also the high notes in the drums sound a bit mutated perhaps as a result of multiple attempts of changing from wave to mp3 and vice versa? Don't know but I think we have lost a bit of quality there.

The track list is nice though, especially the short intro of Satie's Gymnopedia. Kate sings perfectly, like we know from the other live recording from that era. And it's nice to have different versions of songs like Rolling the ball.

I do think it is an addition to your collection if you are KB fan, and you probably are if you are still reading this review.
Don't expect high end audio quality and then you will not be disappointed, as Kate delivers.
