With five minutes to go another FA Cup Final seemed to be nearing its conclusion. Arsenal were 2-0 up with first half goals from Talbot and Stapelton. United hadn't fired on all cylinders throughout until Gordon Mcqueen struck with five minutes left. What followed then will go down in Wembley folklore. Straight from the kick off, united stormed up the pitch and Sammy Mclroy rounded Pat Jennings to level things up at 2-2. Arsenal were on the racks, extra-time loomed, in which surely they would buckle. With a minute left, Brady broke on the left to cross for the on-rushing Sunderland to slot home the winner and send Arsenal fans in raptures. Wembley had seen three goals in the last five minutes and a truly great game.
