Format:Audio CD
Having heard both sets of the 1961 British Hit Parade, it is clear to be the Fantastic Voyage sets offer the best value.
The sound quality is vastly superior, ok there is the odd blemish (some tracks are mastered from 50 year old vinyl after all), but nothing major. The Acrobat CDs suffer from distortion, pops and clicks and excessive sibilance on far more tracks.
In addition, these are genuine silver factory pressed discs, the Acrobat discs appear to be CDRs.
In response to "happyajax" I can assure you I did indeed purchase both sets, as I did with 1960 last year, the main reason being Acrobat uses all mono, whereas Fantastic Voyage uses stereo where available, so the two are significantly different to start with. Sadly, like another reviewer, I had to return the Acrobat sets this year. Not what I had hoped for.
I find his suggestion that I was "paid" to recommend the FY set offensive in the extreme - if you read reviews for the other sets, other reviewers have commented on the poor sound quality on the Acrobat CDs as well.
Also look at the playing side of the Acrobat CDs - they have a greenish tinge, not silver, and there is no disc information towards the centre of the playing side (catalogue number for example)as is normal on factory pressed CDs.
I tried to give an honest appraisal having listened to discs from both sets.

Once again Fantastic Voyage have came up trumps with this collection of hits from the second half of 1961. Only one minor quibble though - Henry Mancini's 'Moon River; Was the recording used in this compilation the original version, as it sounded "too modern" to my ears to be taken from the original 45 single? Anyway, this little flaw aside, I still award this product five stars.

What Can You Say About This But FANTASTIC. All Of The The Hits From 61 Including Some None Hits On The Official Chart But Big Hits On Other Charts Around At That Time. IE Tip Tip Tottenham - The Tottenites, All Are The Original Recording,s And You Can Hear Depending On What Your Playing Them On, Some Clicks Of Scratches And Silblence, But Overall A Brilliant Collection, If You Like Don't Forget To Pick Up Part 1.

Les Vandyke?
If you need all the chart hits of 1961, part 1 and 2 will satisfy. A great bunch of songs from the pre-Beatle era but if that's Les Vandyke singing I'll eat Adam Faith's hat!
