Product Description

Product Description

"1945" takes as its departure point from actual history the idea that the US did not fight against Germany after Pearl Harbor. The authors have created a whole new course of history, starting in 1945 with Nazi Germany controlling all Europe except Britain. The hero must foil a Nazi plan.

I read this book a number of years ago and throughly enjoyed it. The authors use of real and projected German and British/American equipment is excellent. The book ends on a cliffhanger - where is '1946'? I'm still waiting to find out if the Americans save the day [late] again!

The action is page turning and very vivid. Watch out for Sergeant York. Unfortunately there is a great deal of inaction which is often unnecessary dialogue and overindulgence in military technicalities. The love stuff is appalling. The most frustrating part is that this is volume one and is not complete in itself.

I really enjoyed reading this well-written book, which gives a credible "what might have happened" account of events which might have occurred if the USA had not entered the war before 1945.I eagerly await the next one in the series.
