I bought one of these three years ago, what a great device when travelling, the cigar/ power socket is always in use by something else when driving, enables me to recharge my nano, only down side is that the nano headset socket is on the bottom and while charging I cannot listen to music (but it is really quick) most ipods have a socket on the top anyway, so not a problem with them
Got this for my iPhone 3GS and it's pretty much useless. Has to be held at an angle to charge the phone but most of the time it wont even charge.

I am disappointed with this product. Although a useful size, it only worked properly when plugged in and the iPhone I used was connected at an angle. This was a drag, especially as the iPhone needed the extra power mostly when I was using it for mapping purposes. I has to hold the combined devices at an angle, which was uncomfortable. It just died one day on a plane trip and framkly, I think you get what you pay for. I wouldn't buy it again.
