Well there isn't much I can say about 250 cellophane burger discs but they do fit the Andrew burger machine I purchased and do the job well.

It is difficult, certainly in the UK, to buy pork sausage patties without apple. Butchers everywhere seem to have this idea that a pork burger has to contain apple as well. I like pork; I like apples. But not both together! So for ages I have been trying to make my own. Unfortunately, sausage meat is far 'stickier' than ground beef or beef mince and I don't want to mix any rusk into it to make it firmer. It was a messy job until I found these cellophane burger disks. They are fantastic. What you do is use two disks per burger or patty. Place one on a plate, place an egg-frying ring of suitable diameter on top, fill the ring with sausage meat, then place another cellophane disk on top. Now you can press the meat tightly into the ring without getting it all over your hands! I make 8 patties and freeze them with both cellophane disks still attached (top and bottom). To use, take a frozen patty and peel off the cellophane disks before grilling or frying. They peel off easily. Tip: Press the meat into the ring using an empty can the right diameter to fit snugly inside the ring. With the cellophane disk in place the can won't stick to the meat. I happen to have an empty can that contained 'value' pineapple pieces from a well-known supermarket. Fits perfectly. I soaked off the label and wrote 'patty presser' on the side in permanent ink so that the can doesn't get thrown away inadvertently. It's become my new kitchen utensil.

Quality is the same as you would find in premium burgers. My fault for not checking the size of my burger press which requires smaller discs, these are 5" and I needed 4". I didn't realise they came in different sizes, so caveat emptor, check the requirements of your burger press before buying. I am currently cutting down with kitchen scissors but will replenish with correct size when I run out of the current batch. Delivery was fast.
