I needed something to refresh my GCSE french and this has done nicely.
You get 2cds and a substantial book, which would be enough on its own but the cds gives you a great insight into the proper french pronunciation.
The book contains 12 weeks worth of lessons each focusing on the usual topics, restaurants, travel etc.
The sections are divided up into useful phrases, key words and introduces a new verb every week, and then finishes with a recap session, also there are constant questions asking you to say things from previous lessons to keep you thinking.
I'm still not as good as i used to be but i think I'm understanding sentence structure more than i used to, and it has spurred me on to learn more.
For the price its a great package

A comprehensive and well laid out text, with additional menus. There are clear instructions on the CDs which relate to the text. The 15 minute a day exercises are easy to follow. I am using it for revison (not used any French for about 20 years) so it is fairly straightforward. If I was completely new to French I think that 15 mins a day would be insufficient especially when a lot of new voculary is introduced.

If you want to brush up on your French but want a bit of practice before taking lessons then this is good, learning verbs then using them in sentences is pretty easy, though I found it would take considerably longer than 15 minutes a aday. Couple of curve balls with inserting phrases you've not learnt yet but overall a good book, I would reccomend it

This is great.....recommend to anyone wanting to pick up a few words for their hols! I haven't spoken French before so all new to me and great!

Not happy
This package, while not expensive is incomplete and would not teach you french in 15 mins per day! It could be used as a quick refresher but there is insufficient depth. Read more

At well under £10 this is a great resource - the two CDs are full of short snatches of dialogue to help you with your phrasing, and the book is full of vocabulary and short tests... Read more

Not for beginners
Not one for the first timer. You will need some understanding of French. Annoying repetition of the instructions will send you mad as will their accents when speaking English. Read more
