How does a home pregnancy test work?
A home pregnancy test measures the presence of the hormone (H.C.G.) in your urine. H.C.G. is produced shortly after the embryo attaches to the uterine lining. The hormone then builds up rapidly in your body in the first few days following implantation. This test is capable of detecting pregnancy as early as 4 days before your first day of missed period. The further in to the pregnancy you are the higher the levels of H.C.G. get.
How accurate are these tests?
All our tests have proved greater than 99% accurate in laboratory and consumer studies.
When should I do the test?
You can take these pregnancy tests as early as 4 days before your first day of missed period and onwards. Tests can be taken at any time of the day.
How long will it take before I can read the result?
You can read the results after just 5 minutes.
What is the difference between home tests and those done by a doctor?
As we are contracted suppliers to the NHS our tests are used by doctors and hospitals across the UK.
What should I do with my results?
If your pregnancy test results are positive, you should consult your doctor to discuss your pregnancy and what steps should be taken next. If your test is negative and you still think you may be pregnant, re- test a few days later.
If I see 2 lines but one is fainter than the other is this a positive result?
Yes, if 2 lines appear you are pregnant no matter how faint the lines appear.
Can anything affect the results of these tests?
Drinking alcohol, painkillers, oral contraceptives, antibiotics and other common drugs will not affect the result of these tests. Medicines that contain H.C.G. can produce a false positive result.

I decided to buy these after using the one step ovulation test kit which was fantastic. I got a positive result 11dpo (I was away the two days before that so I'm not sure if I could have gotten an earlier result). I bought clear blue as a back up but never ended up using it.
The line was quite faint on the first day, it slowly got darker but it was about a week and half later before it was as dark as the control line. I took a test each day but couldn't really tell that it was getting darker but I kept the tests and when comparing the test on day 5 I could see it was darker than on day 1.
These tests are great because they are so cheap that you can test every day for weeks. I am now 12 weeks pregnant and just had a scan. Our little bundle is due on 6 December.
There are negative reviews on Amazon for this product and the ovulation kit. For me both products did exactly what they said they would and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I have been through five miscarriages and had been trying for 5 years to have a baby so I spent a lot of money on pregnancy tests at £13 for 2 clearblue tests. I decided to try these tests as they would save me a lot of money. Anyway I got a positive result this time, 10 days after conception, a very faint line to start which gradually got stronger as the days went on. I was very paranoid that something bad was going to happen so it was very handy to have a pack of 15 tests that hardly cost anything, so I could do a test every day if I wanted, just to keep my mind at rest. 10 out of 10 product and would recommend them to anyone.

First of all I want to thank the other women who have reviewed on this product and suggested that they got false negatives, as reading those reviews is what made me take a different test!
I had been using these tests (at least 5) from the day my period was due, and all came up negative. When my period was 6 days late and I still had nothing showing on these strips, I came back and re-read the reviews about people trying other tests and getting a positive result. I then took 3 different brands of test (all of which have a sensitivity above 10mIU), all showed a positive result.
I can't really complain based on how cheap the tests were, but please do not rely on these tests as a true indicator of whether you are pregnant or not!
