Nik's Brilliant Return!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: 15 Minutes (Audio CD)
First.....to the past!I was a huge fan of the classic singer/songwriter's of the seventies, artiste's like Paul Simon,Cat Steven's,Al Stewart and other's including the unforgettable C.T.Ward. Then to the eighties, and I thought, not much happening here.True some of those mentioned above were still producing magical music but there did'nt appear to be much new talent on the scene. Then one day I heard "Would'nt It Be Good" by a certain Mr. Kershaw on the radio and I thought, not bad!So I went out and bought the album and I have been a loyal fan since then. However Nik's career in the eighties was rather short lived so I wondered when this album was released so many year's later if he could re-capture the magic of earlier year's. Like good wine he has improved with age and this album is classic. From the hauntingly beautiful "Have A Nice Life" to the rocker "Made In Heaven" this album is wonderfully entertaining. It's that most unusual animal- an album with not one bad track.Well done Nik and congratulation's also on your new album "To Be Frank".Whatever you do, don't go away on us again-I'm looking forward to your next already!!

Superb,

Great CD from Nik Kershaw. Full of catchy tunes and great melodies. If any of the big names of the moment (Ronan Keating, Robbie Williams) were singing this then it would be number one for ages. Still Nik does it way better than these pretenders ever could.

Radio killed the video star...,
By A Customer
This review is from: 15 Minutes (Audio CD)
This is Nik's most recent album and it was well worth the excruciatingly long wait! Even non-Nik fans should give this a listen. There's pure guitar-pop joy in "Somebody loves You" and "Have a nice life" is beautifully touching. There are plenty of delights for all to savour here. Stand out track by far is the stormingly good, lyrically excellent, and foot-stompingly witty "Billy" - an absolute triumph and typical of Mr Kershaw. It's just an absolute crying shame and disgrace that radio and TV stations around the globe saw fit to ignore this slice of heaven. If they'd only taken the trouble to see beyond the pigeon-hole that Nik's been put in they would have seen the craft, talent and excellence that had gone into making "15 Minutes" probably the best album of last year. If you're not a fan - listen to this...you soon will be. Bravo Nik, and welcome back! You've been missed!
