Format: DVD
The opening scene sees an argument between a guy and a woman dressed in black complete with a widow's veil that leads to his death. Several of his friends, all but one are male, are invited to the reading of his will, whoever can solve the secret gets his wealth.
It's a big house but the "searchers" are totally inept. Many of the scenes seem to go on forever especially those long drawn out scenes with "the widow" clutching a knife walking around the house with no apparent sense of direction. That alone seems to take up half the running time.
It's dull in the extreme and takes a long time to go absolutely nowhere.
It is NOT a horror movie or even a thriller as the cover may lead you to expect.
The "twist" ending is telegraphed, the acting is dire, the running time says 72 minutes but they somehow manage to make it seem a lot longer.
If you are looking for a pseudo horror story with the male leads walking round in their briefs and a strangely long shower scene then this may be of slight interest to any gay or female viewers who have managed to stay awake that long. If not, then beware.
If 13 is unlucky, then 1313 is the equivalent of walking under a ladder to avoid a black cat and straight into a very weak mirror.

Please don't waste your time 13 Aug. 2012

The reason I'm writing this review is to warn potential buyers. I watched this movie today and it goes to the top of my list of all time worst horror movies. I truly thought it was some kind of comedy/horror flick because of the ridiculously bad acting and lack of anything remotely to do with horror. Boy, was I wrong! There is nothing resembling horror here. It would be better classified as a made for TV thriller from the 70's. I have no idea how this trash even made it to DVD. The actors in this farce will most likely never work again unless it's in porn.

What else can be said about all of the 1313 movies. They all look alike and they all suck. Some good eye candy is all the movies have to offer.
