We initially had a Gamecube and loved playing the games as a family, then when the Wii came out, we moved the Gamecube upstairs, although we were able to play the Gamecube games on the Wii, the children weren't keen and it is only recently that I have found out why, it was simply because we couldn't save them. For example, when you play Mario Party, you play a large game with lots of small mini games, which, when saved, you are able to play just the mini games on their own. Without the saving, you have to start all over again with the big game, every time you turn the Gamecube off. Since having the memory card in the Wii, we have been able to play our favourite games all over again......and again.........and again.....
