These 6 knives and 6 forks did not arrive quickly so don't order if you need them a couple of days after you order.
Each piece arrived wrapped individually in tissue in a plain cardboard box. The box was in a bag inside a jiffy bag.
They felt heavy in the box but individually they are not. The knife being heavier than the fork of course. An older child could cope with the weight if he/she could be trusted with the blade
Each knife is made in one piece, one side of the very, very pointed blade is serrated.
I ran a finger down the blade very carefully with no pressure, no injury Mmmmm.
The blade is about 9.5 cm. long - the knife itself is 20.5 cm. long.
The three pronged forks are 19 cm. long. The very ends of the prongs are a little more pointed than my other forks but I would not describe them as "sharp".
I did not want wooden or chunky handles which add weight to the knife so I had to choose which set very carefully
Even with Zoom you could not get a really close look at the handles of the different knives on offer.
The knife's handle is a 11 mm. wide at the widest point and is 4 mm. deep (Just less than half inch wide and quarter inch deep). The fork's handles are a little slimmer and about a third as thick. I am therefore very pleased with my choice.
The handles have a beautiful plain satin finish and the ends are square cut.
I don't own a dishwasher but I plan to get one soon so whether this satin finish will remain as beautiful I don't know.
We will only be using these knives to eat meat or similar so they will not be used everyday as they have been bought additional to my other cutlery.
If they last a few years they will have been worth what they cost.
I am pleased with them for now.
