Mean-spirited mogul Finneas James (Sean Patrick Flanery) plots to shut down the local puppy orphanage, unless Emily can come up with the money to save it. With the help of some friends, she races against time to put together a musical holiday event that just might save the day. Don't miss the new chapter in the heartwarming saga.

Fun for the whole family. 13 Dec 2012

This story will appeal not only to doggie-lovers but to everyone who enjoys seeing good people fight for good causes. Set at Christmastime, it's nip and tuck to see if the dogs can be rescued and find homes for Christmas.

A Totally Biased But Honest Review 23 Oct 2012
By Kenneth A. Kragen - Published on

Of course I love "12 Dogs of Christmas: Great Puppy Rescue." My then 7-year-old daughter wrote the original book as a parody of the classic Christmas song when she was bored at a Christmas luncheon and turned the placemat over and started drawing dogs. That book (with a CD of the song) has sold 600,000 copies to date and inspired two movies. We took a second mortgage on our home to make the first one and it went on to sell 1.2 million DVDs. It's still selling in it's 8th year so we decided to make a sequel and this is the result. With an Academy Award winning Writer/Director, a super cast and great crew and the magnificent visuals in the state of Utah we couldn't miss. It's a wonderful film for the whole family and a perfect Christmas gift. It's also a real family project with 23 of our director's grandchildren in the movie and my own daughter working on the film crew. Enjoy it.

Great "family" movie - love it and can see it again and again. 18 Nov 2012

This movie is not a Christmas movie or a family movie. It is just a FUN movie PERIOD. The story, the acting, the settings - everything about it was pure entertainment and just a downright pleasure to watch. I saw the first one years ago and this sequel not only did not disappoint me but it delighted me. I highly recommend buying, watching and giving it as a gift to family and friends. - Ninette Bravo (I don't usually leave reviews but this time I just had to). ENJOY!!!

12 dogs of Christmas...WITHOUT the dogs! 20 Dec 2014
By Bambi L. Tuckey - Published on
Format: DVD
12 dogs of Christmas...WITHOUT the dogs!!!!! Omg this movie is just HORRIBLE!!!!!! The worst part about it is...NO dogs! Yes dogs appear, but only the poodle is on the show! The acting is poor, the story is SLOW, it focuses too much on the people and not enough on the dogs. An entire show with kids dressed up as dogs and not the real dogs. And omg...rapping, cheerleaders....this movie BUTCHERED the 12 Dogs of Christmas! It couldn't be worse if they even tried. The whole point of these movies is the DOGS! And yet this movie wastes so much run time on pointless basketball, cheerleading, psychic nonsense.

And further more what happened to the original dogs?? It's only been six years, that isn't THAT long. Miracle, Max and the old English sheepdog. What the heck happened to them?

That also makes it lose its original magic. And the new enemy and plot is too dark for kids. I'm shocked at how many reviewers on here let their kids watch this.

It shows a dog being abused/trained on a treadmill like they do to fighting dogs, it shows a barn catch on fire with animals inside, it shows a truck flip over with a guy and a dog in it...the dark fire scenes in this really makes this movie too dark to be a Christmas film.

The entire show was RUINED at the end of the film, NO dogs. One of the worst sequels EVER made. I even bet the author is disgusted.

This movie will warm your heart and your families heart as well. Great movie for all ages. The dogs in this movie were amazing and kuddos to the ones who worked with them as well as trained them. A happy movie for all!
