This version of the set is only a 2 DISC set - do not be misled by the other review listing 3 discs - that is for a separate 3 disc version (which as you'd expect costs more).
Total of 22 tracks - 11 on each disc.

Disc 3 from the other set is Disc 2 here - same track listing.
Disc 1 has the following tracks (a mix of the Disc 1 & 2 from the 3 Disc set).
1. Relax - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
2. Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go - Soft Cell
3. Shout - Tears For Fears
4. Fade To Grey - Visage
5. Tears Are Not Enough - ABC
6. Lullaby - The Cure
7. Something About You - Level 42
8. Breakout - Swing Out Sister
9. All Night Long - Lionel Richie
10. Fresh - Kool & The Gang
11. I'm Coming Out - Diana Ross

Like many teenagers in the 80s, I used to buy/collect a lot of singles on 12" vinyl - and am still a music tragic - great to have some of these tracks in the 12" inch versions - most compilations have only the 7" or album version - and some of them are hard to find or on compilations where the rest of the tracks aren't of much interest.

For me I was happy with the 2 disc version and didn't feel the need for the 3 disc version - but that's a personal preference. If you remember these songs from your clubbing days this should bring back happy memories. Enjoy!.

I wish I'd read the review before I wasted my money on this download - this version is definitely distorted when the vocals start. It's a shame as this 12'' is a great version of the song but it is ruined by being very poor quality.

Awesome collecion of 1980s dance mixes 30 Aug. 2010
By Robert Hanks - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
This set was a pleasant surprise, and all of the music is out-of-sight, if you lived through the 1980s and remember this era of awesome music, and the 12" versions. For me, I am in my late 50s now, but the 1980s were my favorite decade for classic rock. And the '60s come in a close 2nd. followed by the 70's and the 50s. Note: a couple selections are from the late 70s.
I was really surprised the selections don't show up so here they are:
Disc 1: Frankie Goes to Hollywood (Relax) -New York Mix ; Soft Cell (Tainted love/Where does our love go) -Extended version ; Tears for Fears (Shout) - U.S. Remix ; Visage (Fade to glory) -Extended ; ABC (Tears are not enough) -12" mix ; Animotion (Obsession) -no note on remix ed. ; Swing out sister (Breakout) -N.A.D. mix ; Wang Chung (Dance Hall Days) - remix ; Souxsie & the Banshees (Spellbound) -12" mix ; The Cure (Lullaby) -Extended mix ; The Style Council (My ever changing moods -longer/extended 12" version.
Disc 2: Lionel Richie (All night long/all night) -12" version ; Steve Winwood (Higher love) -remix ; Frankie Goes to Hollywood (Two tribes) -annihilation ; Robert Palmer (Addicted to love) -12" version ; Level 42 (Something about you) -Shep Pettibone remix ; Junior (Mama used to say) -12" version ; Kid Creole and the Coconuts (I'm a wonderful thing, baby) -original 12" ; Kool & the Gang (Fresh) -Mark Barry remix '85 ; Diana Ross (I'm coming out) 12" version ; The Gap Band (Oops up side your head/I don't believe you want to get up and dance -no mix information ; Jermaine Jackson (Let's get serious) -no mix information.
Disc 3: Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel (White lines/don't do it)-no mix info ; Donna Summer (I feel love) -mega edit ; Grace Jones (Pull up to the bumper - 12" version ; Cameo (Word up! -extended version ; Eric B. & Rakim (Paid in full/seven minutes of madness -the coldcut remix ; Owen Guthrie (Ain't nothin' goin' but the rent) -12" club mix ; Dennis Edwards Featuring Siedah Garrett (Don't look any further -original 12" mix ; Rockwell (Somebody's watching me) -12" version ; Yaz & the Plastic Population (The only way is up) - 12" version ; Womack & Womack (Teardrops) -extended remix ; Bobby Brown (My prerogative) -12" version.

Only if you do not own already the rest of the 12"/80s CD's 18 Feb. 2012
By In The Mode - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
If you have already purchased the other 12"/80s CD's the only tracks which are "new" are: Mama Used To Say [12" Version], Oops Up Side Your Head (I Don't Believe You Want To Get Up And Dance) and Let's Get Serious [12" Version]. If you are new to the 12"/80s CD's, then it's a kind of "best of".

BUYER-BEWARE 10 May 2012
By Ex-Buyer - Published on Amazon.com

Having been in my late 20s- early 30s when the majority of these songs were issued, I had many of them on 12" vinyl, although not necessarily these mixes. Here is the problem with this collection....the vast majority of the songs are ONLY the instrumental portion of the song and NOT the vocal. So for instance, on "PULL UP TO MY BUMPER", it is 8 minutes of instrumental and periodically Grace will sing "BUMPER." That is it. This goes for almost 1/2 of the songs on this collection. Great songs...if you want only instrumentals.

Loved this collection of music!! There was one problem, when I put the music on my computer completely different titles to the music showed. I had to re-type all the titles of the music. Good stuff.
