I have coach 8+ athletics and found this book perfect. No waffle introduction, clearly described and picutred drills. Some I had seen but there are variations to each which I had not come across. Would recommend for the anyone coaching 8-16 years as has the lasted (as printed 2009) thinking on warm-up, dynamic stretching, cool-down and stretching which if you did your training more than 2 years ago you may not be aware of. Looking forward to the next two 'fitness drills' books. It would also be useful for the keen young athlete who does the occasional session on their own.

As a coach returning to athletics I found this book a good starting point. It highlights drills and what the aim of each drill and also informs coaches what they should be looking for
